GAC GS4 Screens, Language & Connected Function Checks

Confirm the digital functions your buyer needs before accepting the vehicle. A global GS4 product page cannot guarantee that a China-market candidate will behave the same way abroad.

01

Separate local controls from online services

List the functions the customer expects to use, then distinguish those that operate in the vehicle from those that require a network, account or regional service. Ask for evidence from the offered GS4. A working screen is not proof that every displayed feature can be activated at the destination. Keep the required equipment list aligned with the software functions so neither review silently assumes the other is complete.

02

Request a language demonstration

If English or another language is essential, ask the supplier to show the available language settings and the screens used for ordinary operation. Verify important warning and control interfaces rather than relying on one menu photograph. Record any areas that remain untranslated. Avoid promising a language conversion until its scope, method and ongoing support have been established for the particular system installed in the vehicle.

03

Test the customer’s connection requirement

Specify the intended phone platform and whether the customer needs calling, audio or a particular projection function. Ask for a demonstration using compatible equipment and identify whether cables or adapters are part of the offer. A Bluetooth connection does not establish every other phone feature. The accepted specification should describe the function actually verified, including any limitation found during the check or any question that remains unresolved.

04

Clarify accounts and previous-user information

For a used candidate, ask what account-related preparation is required and whether personal information can be removed through the supported vehicle procedure. Establish which party handles that work before delivery. Do not request the previous owner’s passwords or assume a reset makes regional online services available elsewhere. If a function is important but cannot be confirmed, discuss the implication with the customer before treating it as an accepted feature.

05

Keep support commitments specific

If an update, setting change or additional accessory is offered, ask what it changes, how it was tested and who will support it. Preserve the original system information where appropriate for future servicing. Refer to service planning for destination support and include accepted digital-function exceptions in the handover record. Clear limits are more useful to a dealer than a broad promise that every connected feature works internationally.

A useful acceptance record might state that the requested phone was paired for calls and audio while a separate online feature remained unverified. That is a narrower, more useful result than saying the car has full connectivity. Ask the customer whether the unverified feature is essential before proceeding.

Record the system information shown during the demonstration when it is available. If software is changed later, the team can identify what was originally checked and decide whether the accepted functions need to be demonstrated again.
