Keep generation and hybrid claims attached to the right car
The H6 name appears in several manufacturer presentations, including an explicitly identified third-generation release and a separate Thailand-market hybrid announcement. Neither reference defines every H6 proposal. Record the original name, production information and installed powertrain of the actual Haval alongside the GAC records. On the GS4 side, use the engine and transmission guide to keep petrol and HEV requests distinct. A translated specification sheet should show which vehicle it belongs to, not merely which family it describes. Where an offer is ambiguous, ask for clarification before using performance or economy claims in the comparison. Do not use a current overseas brochure to fill gaps in an older used unit’s equipment record. A dealer comparing two available petrol cars has a different question from a buyer willing to accept a supported hybrid alternative. The shortlist needs to reflect that difference before an apparent fuel advantage receives a value.
Compare a normal urban journey rather than a category label
Describe the route pattern the buyer repeats: short school trips, congested commuting, frequent parking or occasional open-road travel. Ask for lawful, appropriate observations of the actual candidates under stated conditions, with the driver’s relevant impressions and any qualified findings retained separately. A brief seller video cannot establish every noise, response or comfort characteristic. It can still answer a defined question when the vehicle and conditions are clear. Do not convert a smooth-looking demonstration into a claim of complete mechanical health. Record seating, visibility and control use as personal observations, then keep inspection evidence beside them. The GS4 city-parking review covers the space and movement part of that routine. If one proposal is easier for the buyer to use in a confined location, establish why: useful door clearance or a demonstrated camera task is more informative than calling the whole vehicle more convenient.
Hold the same rear seats and luggage occupied
Compare the occupants and recurring baggage together, including the front positions the family actually needs. Ask whether rear comfort observations represent the expected adults or only a smaller demonstrator. Keep the luggage dimensions and normal loading path recorded so an apparently generous boot picture does not become a claim that every case fits. The cabin and cargo foundations distinguish capacity labels from a usable arrangement. An H6 offer with a different roof, seat profile or fitted accessory may produce a different result from the reference car shown in advertising. The same applies to a GS4. If the customer prioritises three rear adults, use that specific brief and note any position not represented. For commercial use, identify the assigned clients and their bags. A folded-seat demonstration should be excluded from the passenger comparison unless losing that seat is an accepted part of the intended task.
Assess useful systems and service confidence separately
Choose the equipment that changes the buyer’s daily experience, then ask for actual operation and destination support. Rear comfort controls, a wanted phone connection or a driver assistance function should not be credited solely because a brochure lists similar wording. Clarify fitted hardware and the method the receiving user can access. Compare the service arrangements for each installed application as a second question: who can inspect, diagnose or source the relevant parts, and under what terms? Familiarity with other Haval or GAC cars does not establish support for this particular version. A used candidate also needs the relevant current findings and disclosed work; do not let brand reputation substitute for them. If the customer is considering a GS4 HEV, the existing HEV-versus-petrol value guide addresses that separate powertrain decision. Keep this model comparison focused on the actual pair rather than introducing a hybrid that is not being offered.
Make the recommendation conditional on the accepted offer
Set the essential pass conditions and identify permitted concessions before the final quote review. Suppose the H6 provides the preferred rear position, while the GS4 has clearer service evidence and fewer unfinished items. Ask whether the passenger preference is essential or negotiable, and what work or evidence remains outstanding. The answer can change the selected vehicle without establishing a permanent winner between model families. Compare currency, preparation and delivery inclusions consistently. Retain each finding with its candidate, including any changed vehicle reference during negotiation. Use the substitution approval process if the supplier proposes a replacement rather than assuming approval transfers to a similar badge. A final decision should name the actual benefit, accepted compromise and next evidence required. That gives the dealer a recommendation the customer can understand and avoids turning a broad model preference into acceptance of an unseen or differently configured car.
Choose the next action
| Finding or requirement | Purchase response |
|---|---|
| H6 powertrain unclear | Confirm the actual application before using hybrid claims. |
| Rear comfort decides the purchase | Retain represented occupants and the occupied load. |
| One proposal remains unfinished | State pending evidence and preparation before approval. |
Questions buyers ask
Does an overseas H6 hybrid announcement prove the quoted car is hybrid?
No. It describes its stated release and market. The offered unit needs its own original designation and powertrain evidence before hybrid operation or value is compared.
Which model has lower ownership costs?
That depends on the actual versions, use assumptions, current condition and receiving support. Compare identifiable cost items and mark unpriced work rather than publishing a universal saving.
